Invoicing for photography work
Photography invoices often combine session fees, usage rights and deliverables. Spell each out so clients understand what they're paying for and what they're licensed to use.
- Session or day rate
- Number of edited images and delivery format
- Usage/licensing terms if relevant
- Any travel or print costs
- Deposit paid and balance due

Tip: State the usage rights on the invoice — it doubles as a record of what the client is (and isn't) licensed to do with the images.
